Grit Blast Cleaning:

We offer grit blast cleaning facilities, that can handle a large variety of refurbishing projects, which involve the removal
of old finishes, and the application of new ones.

These have included; classic cars chassis, wheel hubs, trims, lifeboat fittings, masts, frames, wrought iron gates and motor
bike frames.

Grit Blasting is the process whereby, a hard abrasive material is forced through a jet nozzle using compressed air pressure.
This creates a fast and effective way of cleaning or preparing a surface for re-coating using all different types of materials.

Why does it need grit blasting?
In short it removes all contaminants such as rust and old paint and provides a good canvas and key to start the powder
or painting process. At the same time it normally reveals any problems such as corrosion weakness or broken weld joints.

When grit blast cleaning is carried out, the process will give a superior adhesion to paint work and other coatings, which is
fast and economical.
